Animated Infographic Motion Graphics
A motion graphics infographic designed to present an unusual historical fact through playful illustration, clean typography, and dynamic animation.
Objective
Create a 48-second animated infographic in After Effects that presents complex information clearly and engagingly. The piece was designed for social media landscape format (1920x1080, 30fps) with no audio, relying entirely on visual hierarchy, timing, and motion to communicate the message effectively.

Process
I selected a historical fact about the largest number of children born to one woman and built the concept around Russian matryoshka dolls as a visual metaphor. I designed all scenes in Illustrator first, organizing them into panels to structure the animation flow before moving everything into After Effects.

This was my second animation project, and it became a major learning experience. I explored morphing shapes, working with null objects, and refining transitions to make the animation feel cohesive. Some ideas I initially imagined were difficult to execute due to my limited technical knowledge at the time, but that pushed me to research techniques, study references, and experiment until I found solutions.

One of the biggest challenges was timing. Because the fact was long, I had to carefully balance readability and pacing across the 48 seconds, ensuring viewers had enough time to process the information without the animation feeling slow. That process helped me better understand rhythm and flow in motion design.

By the end, I felt significantly more confident in After Effects and more comfortable problem-solving through animation. This project confirmed how much I enjoy motion graphics and want to continue developing this skill.
